Palomar Gardens Cafe

This postcard shows the interior of the Palomar Gardens Cafe, a restaurant on the south side of Palomar Mountain, San Diego County, California, where famed flying saucer contactee George Adamski worked with his follower Alice Wells. The gardens, a park-like area on the spot of the current Oak Knoll Campground, was where Adamski set up his amateur telescope in the 1950s and took some of his famous saucer photos. Adamski would meet many UFO buffs in his restaurant, where he would regale them with his adventures with the Venusians.
